In reply to Danial. Thanks Daniel. Our kids loved staying at hostels when they were with us. There was always something going on, and often they have things like games, tv etc to help keep the kids amused.

Hostels were my go-to place of accommodation while backpacking in my 20s but I have since left them after getting married and having a kid. However, your post is inspiring me to try out hostels which have also upped their game when it comes to catering to diverse kind of travelers!

Interesting guide! I’m a bit of a travel snob I have to say, although I did try a hostel once. Sadly it was an awful experience and put me off them. Maybe I should give them another try, eh?

When staying in hostels, I chose an independent room too. I get to meet people as well as get my privacy
